But Belinda Stronach still takes the prize for the worst opportunist.
No she doesn’t Nocala. Belinda made a mistake like many others in their crossing. This time the ruling party orchestrated the move and was aided and abetted by the naïve opposition leaders to walk the floor to destroy the opposition with the hopes the membership would also follow. Democracy requires an opposition to the ruling party and Belinda did not destroy anything but herself. The public of all political stripes has not taken kindly to Danielle Smith et al.
Many Tories would admit that Belinda Stronach didn’t really fit in the Conservative Party, anyway. Amirite?
And Stronach did win re-election as a Liberal in 2006. That is more than anyone can say about any of the Wildrose floor-crossers.
